Marian Prayers

V. The Angel of the Lord announced unto Mary,
R. And she conceived by the Holy Ghost.

V. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,
    Blessed art thou among women,
    and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
R. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
    now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
R. Be it unto me according to thy word.

Hail, Mary . . .

V. And the Word was made flesh,
R. And dwelt among us.

Hail, Mary . . .

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: We beseech thee, O Lord, pour thy grace into our hearts; that as we have known the incarnation of thy Son Jesus Christ (announced) by the message of an angel (to the Virgin Mary), so by his + cross and passion we may be brought unto the glory of his resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

 Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
For he, whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
Has risen as he said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord is truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray: O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

 O blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Walsingham, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon us, our parish, our country, our homes, and our families, and upon all who greatly hope and trust in your prayers. 

 By you it was that Jesus, our Savior and hope, was given to the world; and he has given you to us that we may hope still more. Plead for us your children, whom you did receive and accept at the foot of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother.

 Intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd, the Vicar of your Son. Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we all may be made worthy to see and praise God, together with you in our heavenly home. Amen.

 My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on his humble servant.  From this day all generations will call me blessed, the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name. 

 He has mercy on those who fear Him in every generation.  He has shown the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the humble.  He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.  

He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he has remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever.  

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. 

 Amen, Alleluia 

 Hail, Holy Queen  Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our  sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.  Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.
